Gymea Technology High school was established in 1963, and is set on large, spacious grounds, on the Princes Highway at Gymea. We are a community comprehensive school which provides a caring and supportive learning environment for students and staff. Our key emphasis is the pursuit of educating for the future.

　　Using technology is part of our whole school strategies to assist learning, but we are not just about technology. So, as well as technology:

　　The school provides a successful academic pathway in several areas of study

　　There is much to get involved in to develop talents in and out of the classroom through our reknown leadership and extra curricula programs

　　We are a safe school and one focused on positive involvement

　　We  provide a technology stream with options to accelerate in Technology Based Courses

　　We  provide a general gifted stream in addition to the technology stream to allow students like minded and able to be enriched further.

　　Our school is large enough to provide a broad and differentiated curriculum that caters for varied interest and abilities, yet small enough to ensure that students are not lost in the crowd and that teaching and support staff can cater for their individual differences and needs.

　　Our students have a strong record of successful completion of their studies leading to many wonderful opportunities and pathways following their final year at Gymea. Academically, Gymea Technology High School students continually perform admirably in the Higher School Certificate with many undertaking university courses, through early entry, scholarships and offers through the University Admission Centre. Likewise, a number of our students successfully gain entry into their chosen field at TAFE as well as apprenticeships and traineeships.

　　Gymea Technology High School strives to support students as they attain a broad range of experiences in an environment that is safe, respectful and is focused on successful learning. To guide and develop student experiences, the school promotes a positive approach to behaviour which provides clear expectations of student involvement in school life. These expectations focus students on the positive behaviours that will ensure they remain safe, act respectfully and are successful learners within each area of school learning experiences.
